The Board of Trustees invites applications and nominations for the
position of
CHANCELLOR
The Chancellor of Peralta Community College District is responsible for all operations of the district's four colleges and assures that the colleges are administered in accordance with Federal and California regulations and the policies adopted by the seven-member Board of Trustees. The Chancellor provides leadership and advocacy in keeping with the district's mission of supporting student access and success.
The Peralta Colleges are located in the beautiful Oakland/San Francisco Bay Area, an area which leads the world in technology and innovation. The District was founded in 1964, and serves six cities in the East Bay Area, including Albany, Alameda, Berkeley, Emeryville, Oakland, and Piedmont. The colleges are Berkeley City College, College of Alameda, Laney College, and Merritt College. The District serves over 29,000 students, and is one of the top community college districts in California in transferring students into the UC system. Currently the District has about 850 regular employees and over 1,250 adjuncts and part-time staff.
Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
